Make sure you and your neighbors attend the upcoming Underline community workshops, your input is needed! The first meeting occurs tonight at Vizcaya Museum and Gardens and focuses on areas north of Douglas Road to Brickell. The next meeting will be at Temple Judea and will focus on stations south of Douglas Road to Dadeland South. We look forward to the day when both iconic trails connect providing unprecedented connectivity for all Miamians and visitors to enjoy!
I think we should invest money in improving and expanding public transportation in Miami, rather than add more trees, flowers and walk ways below the train stations. It really is a mind boggler that our county train costs either the same or more than many major cities with double the populations and a massive underground train system.

We need more new buses and expanded service. This should be a high priority. Currently many of aging bus fleet breaks down causing unnecessary delays and passengers stranded or packed like sardines on another bus. Miami Dade County is heavily populated and the traffic here is a nightmare. I ride Route 9 and when one bus does not show for what ever reason, the next one is so packed that you can smell body odors or other passengers. The breaks on those older buses sometimes cause problems sending standing passengers flying. The Metro Rail system is 31 years old and still running the same old cars. The cosmetics of these stations need to to come later when we have a transit system that truely moves people.
