FECI withdrew their CDMP amendment application, and the Miami-Dade Board of Commissioners voted to accept the withdrawal of the application, and directed the county attorney to make this a county application to be reconsidered for transmittal in May 2015, with a waiver of fees for FECI, and the provision for two planning charrettes. We look forward to working with FECI and the County Commission to forge a consensus plan over the next six months that significantly increases the amount of preserved land while balancing the public good with private interests.
